Our coin-operated tables are the sturdy, slate-bed sort that stand up to a Friday night, not lightweight games-room furniture. Cloth stays taut, pockets stay true and the coin mechanism keeps working — because our engineers keep on top of it rather than waiting for you to complain.
Tables are supplied brand new or professionally refurbished, stripped back and restored by trained technicians before they ever reach your venue. We site them nationwide across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, usually within 10 days of you saying yes.

This is the simplest deal we do. Have C.D. Leisure supply a fruit machine on our usual 50/50 profit share, and we will put a coin-operated pool table into your venue at no charge whatsoever. We deliver it, we maintain it, we service it — and unlike the fruit machine, we take none of what the table earns. Not half. None. Every pound that goes into that coin slot stays with your business.
Add the £1,000 we pay on signing a 12-month contract and a venue that had no pool table on Monday can have one earning by the end of the month, having paid nothing and, in fact, having been paid.
Why a pool table earns its floor space
A table does something a screen on the wall never will: it gives people a reason to stay standing at your bar for another two hours.
Longer dwell time
A frame takes fifteen minutes and nobody stops at one. Players buy another round between games, and the bar takes the benefit long after the coins have gone in.
Repeat custom
Pool builds habits. The same faces come back for their game, bring friends and become the regulars every landlord wants on a wet Tuesday.

How much room does a pool table need?
The table itself is the easy part; the cueing space around it is what decides whether people enjoy playing. As a rule of thumb, allow roughly 2 metres of clearance on every side of the table so a full-length cue can be drawn back without catching a wall, a pillar, a radiator or a chair. Where that is not possible on one side, short rest cues can cover a tight edge, but a table hemmed in on two or three sides will frustrate players and take less money.
Also think about the route in, the light above the table and where the queue of waiting players will stand — ideally somewhere with a clear line to the bar. You do not need to work any of this out yourself: C.D. Leisure will assess the room on a free site visit, measure the space properly and tell you honestly whether the table will work where you want it, or whether a different corner will earn you more.
Running a pub pool league
The venues that do best with pool treat the table as a fixture, not furniture. A weekly league or an in-house knockout gives your regulars something to turn up for and fills the bar on nights that would otherwise be quiet. Start small: a chalkboard ladder, an entry fee that funds a prize, and one fixed night a week that never moves.
From there, joining a local league brings visiting teams and their supporters through your door every other week — away trade that spends at your bar and often comes back at the weekend. Is the pool table really free, and do you take a share of it?
Yes, and no. When your venue is also supplied with a C.D. Leisure fruit machine, the pool table is supplied and maintained at no cost and you keep 100% of what it takes. We earn from the fruit machine on the usual 50/50 split; the table is how we say thank you for the business.
Can we have a pool table without taking a fruit machine?
We can still site a table on a standard profit-share arrangement, but the 100% offer applies where a fruit machine is supplied too. Call us and we will set out both options plainly so you can compare the numbers for your venue.
Who pays for re-clothing, cues and repairs?
C.D. Leisure, every time. Cloth, cue tips, replacement cues, balls, triangles, coin mechanism work and callouts are all covered. Report a fault and we aim to have it fixed within five working days.
How much space do we actually need?
Allow about 2 metres of clear cueing room around the table wherever you can. If your room is tighter than that, do not rule it out — we will measure it on a free site visit and tell you honestly whether it will play well.
How often is the table emptied and how do we get the money?
Monthly, as part of our regular service visit. The cash is counted with a member of your team present and recorded on a statement you keep — and where the free-table offer applies, all of it is handed to you there and then.
